AI Visibility services (GEO/AEO) — get cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity & Google’s AI.

When your buyers ask an AI which brand to pick, you’re either in the answer or you’re invisible. We engineer citations — and log them per engine, every month.

Definition

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the practice of making a brand visible inside AI-generated answers — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google’s AI Overviews — by engineering content those engines select and cite. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) covers the adjacent surface: structured answers for featured snippets and question results. Different mechanics from classic SEO: engines pick passages, not pages, and they favour evidence — statistics, quotations, cited sources.

The answer surface is already here.

Every one of those answers cites somebody. The work is making it you.

The method

GEO built on published research — not vibes.

Most “AI SEO” being sold right now is guesswork with a new name. Our methodology is anchored in the first large-scale academic study of generative engine visibility, which tested nine optimization strategies across thousands of queries.

What measurably worked: adding relevant statistics, including named quotations, and citing authoritative sources — up to 40% visibility improvement. What measurably backfired: keyword stuffing. Those findings, engine-by-engine testing, and a monthly measurement loop are the method. When the research advances, the method advances — that’s the point of building on research.

How it works.

01

Baseline

Your buyers’ real questions run through every major engine — where you’re cited today (usually: nowhere) becomes month zero’s log.

02

Prompt research

The questions worth winning get chosen — buying-intent first, winnability scored, agreed with you.

03

Content engineering

Target pages rebuilt to the evidence: stats in, quotations in, sources cited, answer-first structure, self-contained sections engines can lift whole.

04

The technical layer

llms.txt live, AI crawlers verified unblocked, schema deepened — machines can only cite what they can read.

05

Measure, iterate

The prompt set re-runs monthly, per engine. What moved, what didn’t, what changes next — in the log, in writing.

A citation log, not a feeling.

Every month you get the per-engine log: the same fixed questions, re-run across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and AI Overviews, with your brand’s presence recorded question by question — cited, linked, named, or absent. Beside it, a GA4 channel isolating traffic that arrives from AI platforms.

Two imperfect measures, reported together honestly — engines personalise and some AI referrals hide — which is exactly why we log both instead of cherry-picking either.

Inside SEO Ultimate

₹15,000/mo

The full system: Growth’s SEO engine plus the complete GEO layer, one integrated plan. Best when we’re running both surfaces — the same research feeds each.

AI Visibility standalone

₹20,000/mo

The GEO layer alone: prompt research, content engineering on agreed pages, the technical layer, and the monthly citation log. For teams with SEO already handled elsewhere — there’s no shared research to save on, which is why it costs more than Ultimate.

What this service cannot promise

Specific citations on demand — engines choose.Blanket presence — citations are won question by question.Permanence — engines change, which is why measurement is monthly.

What it does deliver: the research-backed inputs, the technical access, and the log that shows exactly what’s moving. Anyone promising “guaranteed ChatGPT recommendations” is selling something the engines don’t offer.

Questions about GEO.

Is GEO just SEO with a new name?+
They overlap and they diverge. Overlap: both reward crawlable, authoritative, well-structured content — good SEO makes you eligible. Divergence: eligibility isn’t selection. Engines assemble answers from passages, so GEO optimizes at passage level — self-contained sections, answer-first structure — and it rewards evidence density (statistics, quotations, cited sources) in ways classic ranking factors never did. The cleanest proof they’re different disciplines: pages that rank #1 routinely go uncited while a #7 page with a quotable, evidence-backed passage gets picked. Same raw materials, different game.
What’s the actual difference between GEO and AEO?+
The surface being optimized. AEO — Answer Engine Optimization — targets structured answer features: featured snippets, People Also Ask, voice results; it predates the AI boom and lives on concise, extractable answers. GEO — Generative Engine Optimization — targets generated responses, where an engine like ChatGPT or AI Overviews composes an answer from multiple sources and decides whom to cite. The tactics share DNA (structure, clarity, self-containment), but GEO adds the evidence layer and per-engine behaviour. In practice we run them together — the same well-built passage can win a snippet and a citation — which is why the service carries both names.
How long before my brand shows up in AI answers?+
Faster than classic rankings for narrow questions, slower for broad ones — and honestly variable, because engines refresh their sources on their own schedules. The typical pattern: niche, low-competition questions can show first citations within six to ten weeks of the treated pages going live; competitive commercial questions behave more like SEO, in the 3–6 month window. Perplexity generally moves first (it re-crawls aggressively and favours fresh sources); AI Overviews moves with your rankings. Month zero’s baseline log makes the timeline visible either way — you watch it happen, or you watch us adjust.
Will GEO changes make my content read like it was written for machines?+
The opposite, done right — because the research says machine-pleasing and human-pleasing converged. What earns citations is what earns trust from a person: real statistics instead of “many businesses”, named sources instead of vague authority, direct answers instead of throat-clearing intros. The one tactic that reads robotic — keyword stuffing — is the one the KDD study found actively hurts AI visibility. Every treated page goes through your approval before publishing, and the standing test is simple: if a paragraph reads worse to a human after treatment, the treatment is wrong and gets redone.
Do I need to rank on Google before GEO makes sense?+
For AI Overviews, rankings matter directly — it draws heavily from pages already ranking, so that engine rewards the combined play. For ChatGPT and Perplexity, the door is more open: they retrieve passages worth citing, which is how small and new brands sometimes get cited before they rank — no legacy content dragging trust, and nobody else answering the niche question well. The honest framing: you don’t need rankings first, but you do need a real content base worth citing — which is why the standalone plan assumes your SEO is handled somewhere, and Ultimate exists for when it isn’t.
